Congress Submits Memorandum Seeking Immediate Reconstruction of Sidhua Bazar–Kathkuiyan Mod Road

Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh: A delegation of the Congress party submitted a memorandum to the Uttar Pradesh Government through the District Magistrate, demanding the immediate repair and reconstruction of the severely damaged road connecting Sidhua Bazar and Kathkuiyan Mod.

The delegation was led by Congress District Vice President and former Padrauna Assembly candidate Mohammad Zaheeruddin. Addressing the issue, he stated that the road has remained neglected for a long time and has deteriorated into a stretch filled with large potholes, posing serious risks to commuters, students, patients, and local traders. He urged the administration to prioritize public welfare and ensure the road is reconstructed at the earliest with quality standards.


Congress Media In-charge Deshdeepak Mishra criticized the district administration over the condition of roads, alleging that substandard construction has caused roads across the district to deteriorate prematurely. He also called for strict action against officials and contractors responsible for poor-quality work, saying that the public continues to suffer due to negligence and lack of accountability.

Several party leaders and workers, including Abdul Hamid Ansari, Abdur Rahim, Aryan Babu, Manoj Kushwaha, Raju Kushwaha, Raju Bhartiya, Vinod Bharti, Wasiullah, Parvez Alam, Surendra Singh, Surendra Yadav, Mohan Kumar Bharti, Hasnain Ali, Tabarak Hussain, Murtuza Ali, Hiranja Siddiqui, Aftar Ali, Satyanarayan Gupta, and Sakir Ali, were present during the submission of the memorandum.

The Congress leaders warned that if the road reconstruction work is not initiated promptly, the party will launch a phased public agitation. They stated that the responsibility for any resulting public protest would rest with the local administration and the state government.
