The disaster has killed at least 162 people , while hundreds remain missing, according to the latest reports. The disaster struck on August 26 in the Rasuwa and Dhading areas , with floodwaters and debris surging through the Bhote Koshi-Trishuli river system. A huge mass of mud and rock entered the river, generating a powerful flood that devastated settlements and infrastructure downstream. All Major Rivers in Deoria Flowing Below Danger Mark; 11 mm Average Rainfall Recorded TOK NEWS NETWORK Deoria | August 6, 2026: According to the Daily River Water Level and Rainfall Report issued by the Flood Control Room, Deoria, all major rivers in the district are currently flowing below their respective danger marks. Although a slight rise in water levels has been recorded over the past 24 hours, officials said the situation remains under control and is being closely monitored. The report stated that the Ghaghara River (Nai Basti/Diha Embankment) recorded a water level of 65.90 metres , against the danger mark of 66.50 metres .
